NEW SPACE AREACEDD Test Areas

We check technologies and services that facilitate everyday life

D??ymy do bezpiecznego udost?pniania przestrzeni powietrznej dla bezza?ogowych statk powietrznych u?ywanych w autonomii

Before services appear above cities, we will check and demonstrate them thoroughly. This is what the new test areas are for.

What is a CEDD Test Area?PRINCIPLES OF OPERATION

It is a zone designated in the air space, which, for the purposes of the test, is separated and isolated from air traffic. Other space users should by law not be in this zone at this time.
The area is then ready for carrying out tests out of the operator’s sight or in automatic modes. Autonomous flights permits are possible as part of research work and with the consent of CAA and PANSA.

Already technologically mature and safe solutions are used in CEDD test areas, and the tests concern the correctness of services rendered using them. Comparing to cars, it is like checking whether a commercial vehicle body is ideal for the specific use we need, e.g. food transport. But the vehicle itself is safe.
